You are invited to attend The Great Healthcare Challenge conference to be held in the centre of beautiful Melbourne at the Sofitel Melbourne On Collins from 11 – 14 October 2011.

This Conference is being convened by a vital new Healthcare Collaboration - comprised of four of Australia’s peak health organisations, between them covering institutions and senior personnel from a wide range of areas across both public and private sectors.

We are:

This Healthcare Collaboration brings together a highly influential group of clinicians, executives and academics in the Australian health system. For your further information click here for a short description of each organisation.

The conference theme achieving patient-centred outcomes, reflects the challenges of delivering integrated healthcare in the current reform environment, including Governance; Information Management and E-Health; Clinical Leadership; Appropriateness of Care; Safety and Quality and the need for Patient-centred Outcomes. It will provide an exceptional opportunity to discuss our vision for a patient-centred healthcare system.  Sessions will focus on critical elements required to reach this goal.

A range of local and international speakers will present an innovative program of plenary sessions, invited papers and workshops exploring the major issues affecting health care quality and safety.  This Conference will be theoretically grounded but practically oriented with active discussions, workshops and free papers to develop new safety and outcomes initiatives.

It is anticipated that more than 800 Australian and international delegates will attend the Conference including senior executives, hospital managers, clinicians, community and primary healthcare providers, policy developers and decision makers, government officials, academics and consumers.  This is a fantastic opportunity to network with peers and keep abreast of the latest developments in health care.

A comprehensive trade exhibition will showcase the most up-to-date products, technology and information on health and health care innovation and development. The Conference will also feature an exciting array of social events, including the Welcome Reception and Conference Dinner.

We look forward to seeing you in Melbourne.
